Handcrafted Oregon Wedding
Thursday, February 20 2014
Every aspect of Rissa and Stephen's colorful and creative wedding exuded their personality. Just look at those adorable tipis! Nothing looked traditional. That's because most decorations were DIY projects or purchased at thrift stores and flea markets.
The newlyweds married August 10, 2013 at a private residence in Central Oregon. "Rissa and Stephen's wedding was an incredible backyard event at a secluded property, which offered gorgeous mountain views. Such a treat for their guests - many of whom traveled from California," says Marina Koslow, wedding photographer.
Rissa made all of the decorations and flower arrangements herself, while bargain hunting for the silverware, plates, table settings and her shoes at a variety of thrift stores and flea markets. Her design-savvy brother created and printed the cheerful invites and stationaries from home.
"Both the bride and groom were a joy to work with. They made this day be about their love and the people that celebrated with them," says Koslow.
