From Red Carpet to Wedding Aisle: Wedding Gown Inspiration

At the award shows, who wins is only as important as who's best dressed. At this year's Grammys I loved the simple, long-sleeved, delicate and sparkly dresses. This trend, rocked by Katy Perry in a light blue Elie Saab gown (with matching blue hair) and Carrie Underwood in a wedding-white Gomez Gracia dress, could easily translate to the wedding aisle. 

Elie Saab's Spring 2012 collection features many gorgeous white and pastel gowns with delicate sparkles and floral details. This one reminds me of Katy's Grammys dress, but you can browse through all the looks here.

While it's strapless, this wispy, muted dress by Portland designer Claire La Faye is another lovely light blue option. 

The sparkles on this Monique Lhuillier gown echo Carrie's glittery red carpet dress with a more traditional wedding silhouette.
