Inspiration Boards are crack to the wedding world (but you knew that already) -- and they just happen to be great organizing tools for minds like mine. I've been envisioning muted colors with bright accents long ago, and it's time to get creative where we make those grey suits stand against pretty yellows, or a coral pink. Where should you make your wedding pop? Well, it's a good thing you're here -- because I've got ideas!

Let's pop-it like it's hot. (See what I did there?!)

1. Statement necklaces. There could be inspiration boards specific to these gems (I personally like this one) -- and they're just the accessory to create a small "pop" you may be looking for. Switch it up! Wear a dark colored statement necklace for the ceremony, and a fun colorful one for your reception. You can find this particular necklace here

2. Add a head-piece with flare. Divvy up your all-white ora on the big day, and add a color splash with a handmade headband. Shop local and find one on a local Portland, OR Etsy shop!

3. Okay, I went out on a limb with these balloons. Think about how much you could do with these, though! Hang upside-down from the ceiling, or pretty-up a table setting like this!

4. The obvious color-pop: a pair of shoes. Try something out of the box to carry those wedding day toes down the aisle. Maybe add a fun patterned pair of tights for an extra flirty tip.

5. Lip color is back in, ladies! Sweeten up your wedding day glow with a pale pink -- or bring the drama with a deep purple or glittery red.

6. If you're in sync with the wedding world, you've been seeing lots of empire waisted gowns lately. Make your "pop" stand out in the sash you choose. Whether it be soft or bold -- you can't go wrong with adding a punch of color to that white dress.

Why is that little groundhog so afraid of his shadow? Doesn't he know that shadows help to make some really amazing engagement/wedding photography?

Here's a hint: Do some research on local photographer's websites. Here's a shortcut to Oregon Bride's photographer directory. Take these (and other) photos to your photographer at your engagement session, along with some great props, and you'll be guaranteed photos you will adore for years to come.

If you're anything like me and have a significant other who despises Valentine's Day, take fate into your own hands and learn how to create stunning floral arrangements with the one-and-only, Francoise Weeks. Not only will your coworkers be impressed by the unique display of floral artwork that you "receive" on V-Day, but you can take your newfound talent and apply it to creating your own wedding bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets and flower girl bouquet!

Francoise Weeks, a floral designer who is often featured in the pages of Oregon Bride, hosts all-day classes that are " intensive and inspiring, providing insights and techniques developed over many years of European floral design".

Mark your calendar because the next round of classes is right around the corner: February 20, 21 and 22. Visit her website for more information regarding times and cost.
