There’s not much I can say about this gorgeous styled shoot that coordinator Nicole of J29 events didn’t already say (below) but I am so excited to share it with our readers today! There’s something magical about the excitement of a New Year and a new chapter that is incredibly similar to the thrilling rush of making a new marriage official. Glittery details and metallic accents add New Years glamour to this shoot, while a dramatic black, white and jewel-toned palette keep everything fresh and crisp. Black wedding gowns have been hitting the market more than ever as of late, and this one by Grace Mariee is one of the most elegant I’ve seen yet.

That said, it’s been a wonderful year at Oregon Bride—we increased our digital presence tenfold with the addition of new staff (yours truly), threw two blowout parties, and connected with more new and innovative vendors than ever. We couldn’t have done any of this without the support of our readers, who keep coming back for inspiration while continuing to inspire us with their unique wedding day traditions and ideas. A happy New Year to you and yours—I can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store for Oregon brides and Oregon Bride alike!

From Nicole at J29 Events:

"When I think about New Years Eve, I think about the excitement, and the romance in the air. We say goodbye to what last year held, and excitedly look forward to the surprises of what lie ahead in the new year. The ambiance is very reminiscent of the eve of a wedding. While day-dreaming about that “feeling” I envisioned a bride and a groom… and the bride wore a black wedding dress.

With the help of a classic New Years Eve color palette of gold and black, we designed an exquisite black tie affair for the couple ready to start out the New Year committed to one another. Our goal, to inspire non-traditional couples by presenting a wedding that is both classic and elegant, while straying from the beaten path. Nothing shines as bright as a couple in-love, who is ready to marry their soul mate."
