Local Spread
A classic whiskey sour becomes a signature drink as dreamed up by Portland’s Crave Catering. Using egg whites from Crave’s own farm to achieve a frothy texture, lemon juice, sugar, and whiskey from Portland’s 4 Spirits Distillery are shaken with crushed ice and topped with Oregon pinot noir for a splash of color. Wil and Kris Hansen, the husband-and-wife catering team behind Portland’s White Pepper, created a wow-worthy hors d’oeuvres platter that includes Olympia Provisions salami, prosciutto, Oregon blue cheese, winter citrus and their own house-made pickles.
