Woodland Hunger Games-Inspired Styled Shoot

As a shameless consumer of the pop-iest of pop culture, I read the Hunger Games books in one weekend, and I've seen all the movies on their premiere weekends. When Stevi sent this shoot my way, I was thrilled to witness such a gorgeously executed union of one of my favorite pop culture franchises with the wedding world. Expertly toeing the line between going overboard on the references or creating something too far abstracted from the original source of inspiration, this team of vendors have an impressively strong action-movie inspiration shoot game (is that a thing? If not, I'd like to make it one. Guardians of the Galaxy styled shoot, anyone?). Woodsy details like strung feathers, ferns and loosely structured florals ground the scene, while a veritable feast and the model's bow-and-arrow bring the theme to life. From the photographer, Stevi Sayler:

"It has been a long time in the making and it has been nearly impossible for me to keep these images to myself. I am so incredibly proud of how this shoot came together and how wonderfully flawless the whole process has been. Every one involved took extra time out of their busy schedule to help with the planning process and also spent an entire Saturday with me to execute the shoot. In many cases, a styled shoot can fall apart quickly and vendors have the potential to be flaky, but that was so far from the case with this Hunger Games shoot!! Each and everyone involved went above and beyond what was asked of them! For example, I asked Good Seed Floral Design to contribute a bouquet, a center piece, a boutonniere and a flower crown which is quite a bit already, but they brought several center pieces, many boutonnieres, the crown, TWO incredible bouquets and tons and tons of extra pieces to decorate the tables and the archway! I wish I could go on and on and list every example of the incredible hard work and the extra steps taken by everyone, but this blog post would quickly become a novel!! Instead, I’m going to say that I whole heartedly trust and absolutely love every single person involved in this shoot and would highly recommend their services to anyone and everyone. It was such a pleasure to work with this group, I feel they came together to create a winning team that could tackle any wedding, anywhere."
