I'm generally a super positive person, but these last few days have been really hard for me (this post is not political). I have struggled with anxiety for years (over ten years), and have been off any and all medications for 3 years now. Some days I'm able to completely brush off the doubt and uneasiness that anxiety carries, and other days, I just feel so defeated. I'm not taking any more work for 2016 (no styled shoots, paid shoots, trade shoots, etc), and I look forward to really dedicating myself to the shoots I have left and finishing all my weddings and sessions in que. (I've said this before but ultimately kept saying yes.) I genuinely worry that I'm too honest and too personal on here, but I think it's powerful when people are raw. So, again, thank you to everyone who continues to cheer me on and support me. When I get an inquiry, I truly always feel honored and humbled. Also, thank you to my incredible bride (you know who you are) who texted me out of nowhere today just to say she appreciated me and my dedication to her images. This was just hours after I texted my husband feeling really low because I was having a hard day. God works his magic so that we always here him, am I right? Anyway, the jist of this being: I'm still learning and testing my own limits and boundaries. This is one of the biggest blessings in my life, and I hope you all know that. I whole heartedly love that I'm able to pursue photography and tell your stories. I can't thank you enough for the opportunities ps. How do you all manage anxiety or high levels of stress? I love my oils and a nice fire, but would love to hear how you cope!
