What is your style of photography?

As a husband/wife team we've collaborated over the past ten years combining our individual sensibilities  to develop a unique 'blended"style'.  We take the best elements of photojournalistic, documentary, traditional and contemporary candid photography to create images that tell the story of your wedding day.  At times that means stepping back and quietly catching moments as they happen and at other times lending a hand to ensure every special event at your wedding is translated into a lasting memory.  After being partners, shooting over 500 weddings, we've developed our coverage of a wedding into something like a dance, we know each others moves and coverage and we completely compliment each other.

What is your philosophy towards weddings?

We feel very personal about each and every wedding photography assignment we shoot. The images created at your wedding and reception are going capture and bring back the memories and emotions of your wedding day years  after the decorations have been taken down. That is a big responsibility and we embrace it totally. With all of our pre-wedding contact, phone calls and planning we get pretty close to our brides and grooms.  Relationship is very important to us.  Couples depend upon us to provide images that will create a lifetime of memories. We want to provide the very best photography that we can, every time.

What is your price range of services?

Our most basic services (shooting time, private preview website and print ready copyright free DVD) starts at $1100. Our all-inclusive packages can get as high as $3000+.

What does this include?

For your investment you will receive; an initial consult chocked full of great wedding information and resources plus continued access to technical, emotional, and useful advise any time that you need us.  We are as close as the phone (or email).  A few weeks prior to your wedding we will invite you back to meet and discuss your final plans and sketch out an itinerary for the day. This helps to minimize stress and last minute unexpected surprises.   After the wedding you will have your  images hosted online for one year.  If you chose an album as part of your package, we include worksheets that allow you to have as much creative input as you like.

Do you have packages?  If so, what do they include?

Our packages start with the basic 'time, website and files' where we shoot your wedding as a team, build your website and then provide the hi-res, copyright free images on a data DVD.  The high end  'all-inclusive' package also includes various amounts and sizes of prints along with various album options.  Flexible customized service is always available.  Complete package and price information is posted online at: http://www.aaronstadt.com/packages.html

Do you shoot with an assistant?

No!  Photography has evolved to the point where an assistant is nice, sorta, but is largely unneccessary. The day's of having someone carry a bag of lenses, batteries, film, a tripod and gear have been replaced by better equipment and better ways of carrying the equipment you have.  We both are very able to carry and maintain the equipment needed to do an excellent job.  At times we 'assist' each other, but having one more 'body' in the way is not necessary.

Will you be the one shooting the wedding or do you hire other photographers as well?

We shoot every wedding that we book, it is our company, our names are on the contact page.  We meet with you several times during the process to help you explore and plan your day.  You place your trust in us and we develop a working relationship and a friendship with you.  That relationship is very important, the comfort level you have with us will make a difference in the quality of your images.  If we sent another photographer, where is the familiarity and the comfort?  If we like you enough to want to shoot your wedding, well then, we certainly don't want to miss the party do we?

Do you shoot digitally or with film or both?

Film, . . . what's 'film'?  Seriously, with over 35 years combined experience, Stephen used to swear, "I'll never give up my film!"  Now, we can do 'anything' with a digital file that can be done with film.  There are so many advantages to digital such as storage, not worrying about a lab scratching your negatives, not dumping hundreds / thousands of gallons of toxic chemicals necessary for development of the film and the convenience of not being limited by the number of rolls of film you are carrying.  Yeah, we shoot digitally and are proud of it!

After the wedding, how long until the proofs are ready?

Electronic proofs are available for online viewing 2 - 3 weeks after the wedding. We optimize each image for clarity, color and contrast and then post them to your private preview website.  It's easier for you to view and order online.  If you have friends or relatives that could not be at the wedding it allows them to logon and be virtual guests!  Online viewing of electronic proofs also prevents printing of unwanted paper prints further eliminating paper and chemical waste being dumped into the environment

What are your custom print prices?  Are any prints included with the packages?
