How would you describe what you do?

I can do as much or as little as the bride needs me to do. I will travel, go on vendor visits, help get the invitations in the mail, etc.

How long have you been in the business?

I've had my own company for almost 7 years. I've been planning events for over 25 years.

What is your philosophy on a wedding planners role in helping brides and grooms plan their wedding?

My philosophy on a wedding planners role is it's my job to give advice and make suggestions. It's to find the best I can at the best price to make the brides and grooms dream wedding a reality. It's not my job to over price my services and the services and merchandise of other vendors. The price of everything has gone way up in the last few years. I don't feel right in charging high prices even though I am an expert.

Do you offer packages? If so, please describe.

I do have 3 packages. The Purple Iris package is a full service package. With this package I am involved in the planning from the start to the end. The Yellow Iris package is a reenforcement package. I can come in any where in the planning of a wedding with this package. The White Iris package is a wedding day package. With this package I work with the bride for the last two months before the big day. I also do consultations on an hourly basis. I can give tips, ideas, and lists of vendors.

What is your most popular package? Why?

The most popular package is the White Iris package. I believe it's due a lot because of the economy. Brides are really trying to get the most out of every dollar. They are doing all the planning themselves but realize they need someone to handle the deals on their wedding day.

How do you charge?

I have a starting rate for each package. The contract fee is based on the starting rate for the package the bride wants plus any extra services that need to be added to the package. Also, the cost of assistances for the wedding day is determined by the wedding size and number of locations.

What are your rates?

The Purple Iris package starts at $2500. The Yellow Iris package starts at $1250. The White Iris package starts at $750. Consultations are $40 per hour. The first hour consultation is free.

Are you able to counsel couples on wedding etiquette?

Yes. I would really like to counsel couples more on wedding etiquette.

Do you offer any other special services?

I have glass items, various votive holders; vases; apothecary jars, that I rent out to my brides. I also sell etched toasting flutes.

Is there anything else you would like me to know?

I am very detailed oriented in what I do for my clients. I treat all my brides like family. I use the brides ideas to brainstorm with her to create the wedding she's dreaming of. I make suggestions, she makes the decisions.
