According to Rebecca Foster of Indigo Event Design, this stunning styled shoot at Tendue was inspired by culturally and historically significant color combinations and patterns that have stood the test of time. The talented team of vendors created a truly unique look, incorporating a mix of vintage china plates, candle sticks and vases that have been prominent in both eastern and western cultures for hundreds of years. The color palette of the design drew its inspiration from the Rose Medallion China pattern, which was originally created in 1820. “We fell in love with the rose pink, chartreuse and jade green, and mandarin orange color scheme,” Foster says, “a color combination you rarely see you today, and might even describe as fresh and unique, and yet something that was so popular hundreds of years ago.” Layering of vintage plates with distinct patterns in the same colorway brought personality and flair to the tablescape, accented by solid linens so as not to overwhelm the eye. The pièce de résistance was notably the florals by Selva Floral Design—a lively arrangement of mums, ranunculus, poppies and tulips that created a blooming spring table runner.
