Engagement Session in the Heart of Portland

Trends

Amy & Tyler’s urban
engagement session proves that you don’t need to travel far from Portland for a
gorgeous backdrop. Just as the locals do, they spent the day wandering the
streets, making a few stops along the way at Stumptown Coffee, Ace Hotel and
the Multnomah Whiskey Library. Keep scrolling to see the entire engagement
session and head to the bottom of the page for a note from the bride and
coordinator and a full vendor list.

From the Bride:

Tyler planned a wonderful
weekend to Hood River this summer and found an amazing sunset hike for us to
do. It is not unusual for us to go on hiking adventures so I thought nothing of
it. We had a wonderful day visiting breweries and walking along the river that
weekend before heading out on the gorgeous gorge hike. There was no one else on
the hike that day - something very unusual for the Columbia River Gorge on a Saturday
in the summer. At the peak of the hike he recapped our love story from the
beginning going through all the highs and lows, or "peaks and
valleys" as we call them - something we have always done. He proposed at
the top of the hike with views of Mt. St. Helens and Adams in the distance and
wildflowers blooming throughout the valley. It was perfect, romantic, and just
us. I would not have wanted it any other way.

From the Coordinator:

Elyse of Plum & Oak
Photo and I decided to make an impromptu trip to Portland to explore the land
of hipsters, Voodoo donuts and insane mountain greenery, that we just don’t get
enough of in Southern California. I played collegiate volleyball with Amy at
NNU and reached out to her because I knew she had recently gotten engaged. We
were inspired by Amy and Tyler’s proposal, so we decided to have our favorite
calligrapher, Phoenix Feathers Calligraphy, create a sign
with their names, favorite song lyrics and wildflowers, to bring in elements of
their engagement day. Three hours before our flight back home, Elyse and I
met Amy and Tyler in the city and explored like locals. We
wandered the streets of Portland in search of the most gorgeous engagement
session, and that is exactly what we got!
