Even in the digital age, there is something undeniably soft and romantic about film photography. Vintage "toy" cameras can yield surprisingly beautiful results that are otherwise hard to replicate (think gauzy, otherworldly images). Here are a few local picks that can help you document your big day the vintage way, using analog film cameras.

PHOTOGRAPHER: Aisha Harley delivers an attractive photography package that includes classic square format and panoramic film images, along with gorgeous photos taken by toy cameras (pictured left) -- straight from the darkroom. The results are unique, timeless, and beyond romantic.

VENDOR: Blue Moon Camera & Machine is nationally renowned for their impressive stock of film-only cameras.Check out Blue Moon's inventory of toy cameras, which includes the iconic Holga and Diana (right) cameras. The cameras are old-fashioned by design (the Holga and Diana take medium format 120 film and are made of plastic), and the images are fun and unpredictable -- making them perfect to hand out as favors or to include on your reception tables.

DEA: For your reception, place a ready-for-use toy film camera on top of each table along with instructions. Your guests will take unique, vintage-style photographs, giving you access to wildly beautiful and varied images of your wedding day! You can request for the cameras to be placed in a drop-off box at the end of the night to send for development. (Blue Moon can also take care of your toy camera developing and printing needs.)

What do you think of a return to film wedding photography? Would you incorporate film or toy cameras for your wedding photos?
