For many couples, pets are family—really cute and furry family that deserve a special place in a wedding day. While some couples assign their pets to the position of ring bearer, Kyle Liljegren, 28 and Alli Graham, 33, let Reggie, their shy 1-year-old pug take center stage. Their July wedding in Eagle Crest Resort featured guests’ choice of red velvet, chocolate or confetti pug cake pops as wedding favors, alongside a framed photo of Reggie captioned, “Thank you for coming to my Mom & Dad’s wedding!” Kissing-pugs salt and pepper shakers on the cake table also served as reminders of their favorite canine. Last but not least, Reggie posed in some wedding-day photographs sporting an interchangeable bowtie—including one shot in which photographer Jerrad Miller superimposed a giant Reggie chasing the terrified bridal party. “We wanted him to share the day,” says Alli. “It showed our guests how important he is to us.”
