Kristin & Chris

Aug. 27, 2011 at the Portland Art Museum and The Nines

How They Met: The creative couple connected in 2008 working on a television commercial when Chris worked at Wieden & Kennedy and Kristin at Nike. How He Proposed: On Christmas Eve, instead of silly stocking stuffers, Chris got serious by putting an engagement ring in the bottom on Kristin’s stocking. How They Wed: A flower petal–festooned ceremony in the courtyard of the Portland Art Museum was followed by a reception nearby at The Nines hotel. Zest Floral and Event Design filled the reception space with garden roses, dahlias and hydrangeas in pale colors to reflect the couple’s love of watercolors and travel. Guests had fun snapping pictures in a photo booth throughout the night, which the couple later used to create a stop-motion video that they posted on their website. How They Live Happily Ever After: Kristin and Chris honeymooned in Kauai, Hawaii, for 10 days and are now busy and back to work in Portland—Kristin as video and advertising producer and Chris as an art director—and are expecting a baby this summer.
