Nerdy Snow White-Themed Winter Wedding
As a lifelong die-hard Disney fan, I must admit that self-proclaimed nerd couple Nelly and Damian’s Snow White-meets-nerd quirk wedding takes the cake as one of my all-time favorites. From the apples sprinkled about the reception tables and the floral design to the red, white and blue décor contrasted against pine boughs and the muted setting, theirs was a day fit for a princess. Of all the cute and quirky details, I can’t stop swooning over the rose, apple and foliage floral arrangement nestled inside of a bell jar—it may be more Beauty and the Beast than Snow White, but either way, it creates a striking romantic aesthetic. Details aside, this is one bridal party that knows how to have a good time—keep scrolling to see the moment the groomsmen revealed their secret identities!
From the photographer, Erica Ann:
"You will be hard pressed to find a wedding that even comes close to being as exciting or as deliriously happy as Nelly and Damian’s! These two were married at Bella Via Venue in Sherwood while outside the remnants of Typhoon Pabuk wreaked havoc with the heaviest wind and rains of the year. Thousands of people lost power all around but not us! We made it through with just one flicker of the lights.
You may have seen Nelly and Damian’s engagement session at Tina’s Barn – that was a day of amazing weather as well. We had some of the best fog I’ve ever seen! You might also recognize the Tardis and our old friend the Doctor? Man, what’s gonna happen when these two have their first kid? Earthquake? Tornado? Can’t wait to find out!
Alright, back to the wedding. Jen and her team from Champagne Wedding Coordination did an amazing job handling all of the chaos and wonderfulness of the day while Stephanie of Petalos just made everything look stunning with Nelly and Damian’s Snow White plus nerd quirk theme. Bliss Cupcakes made the desserts that were smashed into Damian’s face and Premier Catering fed all of the happy guests so they could dance all night! Hair and Makeup was by Kirsten Wight and of course Nelly’s wedding dress was “Snow White” by Alfred Angelo."
