Nicole & Travis

Aug. 7, 2010 at the Resort at the Mountain in Welches

How They Met: The former childhood neighbors began dating in 2002 as high school sophomores in Pullman, Washington. How He Proposed: Both huge sports fans, they were on the way to a September 2009 Washington State football game when Travis said they’d make a detour to the coast to meet his brother. Nicole was clueless until they parked at Ecola State Park and Travis took her skipping down to the beach and proposed on one knee. Their engagement souvenir? A $15 parking ticket. How They Wed: During a fun-filled destination weekend near Mount Hood, surrounded by 225 friends and family. The wedding party competed in the “Wedding Olympics” on Thursday to determine the order they walked down the aisle. Friday found the guys golfing and the ladies hiking up Tom, Dick and Harry peak. The scene on the big day was equally energetic, with lush orchids from Crystal Lilies and bright orange bridesmaids dresses, and the reception turned into a party as soon as Travis and Nicole danced into the ballroom—and lasted until 2 a.m. Running on adrenaline, they sent their guests home after brunch the next morning. How They Live Happily Ever After: A week later, Travis and Nicole jetted to Nassau, Bahamas, for eight days of tropical relaxation. They’re now back home in Aloha, where they both work for Nike.
