Rustic Pastel Mt. Hood Summer Wedding

Mt. Hood is one of my favorite Oregon wedding locales. Gorgeous greenery and a crisp white mountain peak in the backdrop set a down-to-earth, elegant tone and provide fantastic photo ops. The soft femininity of pastel pink, creamsicle orange and seafoam tabletop decor contrast beautifully with the rugged mountain setting, while the floral design married the trendy and unexpected by combining Easter-egg-hued peonies with gerbera daisies in turquoise mason jars. Three cakes adorned with periwinkle and soft pink florals provide more trendiness made unique by the cakes' buttery cream-colored frosting. From the photographer, Christa-Taylor:

"The drive to Cooper Spur winds through orchards, lush fields and the undulating hills above Hood River. Nestled at the base of Mt. Hood lies this quintessential Bed and Breakfast verdant and green in the July sun. The vision for the day was soft blush and cerulean blue, set against the rolling fields as the backdrop for this countryside affair. Peonies, dahlias and vintage roses (Kate's favorite) festooned the tables and bouquets while baby's breath served as darling boutonnieres. Hand dipped votive holders brought in the blue to the tables while hanging baskets bursting with fuchsia surrounded the reception area.

With the final touches complete, Kate met her groom in the quiet under the trees, catching their breath and laughing with relief that the day had finally come. Hand in hand they walked to the ceremony site while last minute guests found seating. As the day progressed, happy tears were abundant and laughter echoed over the hills as the dancing began. Near sunset we took a few moments to capture their love, soaking in the golden light and all the happiness of the moment. Captured on fine art film, It was everything they had wished for and more."
