Vintage Woodland Wedding

Real Wedding

From canoes to tipis, there’s so much to love about Chris and
Amber’s wedding at Bridal Veil Lakes. The outdoorsy couple enjoys everything the
Pacific Northwest has to offer; so what better way to say, “I do” than a whole
wedding weekend in the middle of the woods? The style was a beautiful blend of natural
elements like wood and herbs paired with vintage tabletop décor like brass animal
critters and candleholders. Keep scrolling to see what the bride had to say
about her incredible day.

From
the bride, Amber:

“We wanted to create something that
truly incorporated the seasonal tastes, textures and vibe of the wild side of
Portland. We also wanted to add in our own aesthetic with lots of handmade
details created by ourselves and our friends and family. My dad made the photo
booth backdrop and our illustrator friend John Vance helped us design our
invites. Our favors were made using rosemary from our yard, as well as the
table settings using trees and branches. Chris and I collected vintage vessels,
bottles, candleholders and statues for the centerpieces and also designed all
the artwork including chalkboard signs and escort cards. For our floral
arrangements, I volunteered at a local flower garden in exchange for most of
the flowers. The rest were picked at my brother’s farm and our own garden. My
cousin and I arranged all the flowers and made the bouquet and boutonnieres. Three
of my girl friends made all the desserts from scratch, decorating them with
flowers from our garden as well.”
