Inspired by couple Keri Bomgardner and Andrew Sjoberg’s love for DIY and at-home projects, Cindy Lindsley, owner and planner for Peachy Keen Coordination in Tualatin, wanted the couple’s engagement session to incorporate something handcrafted and personal.

Wanting a romantic, Northwest-esque color palette, Lindsley balanced rustic touches with bohemian vibes for their romantic picnic at the Old White Barn in North Plains. A worn, washed pallet served as the ground-level picnic table. A lace tablecloth draped over it all and color-coordinated pillows made for a soft perch.

To dress the space up, Thistle and Pine of Forest Grove provided an assortment of floral arrangements, including Keri’s floral crown and the lovely greenery draping a bed swing within the barn. Wilsonville-based Lux Sucre Desserts provided playfully colored tarts, cookies and a lovely cake with touches of navy, green and coral.

“The best part was definitely the people who were involved. We both felt so comfortable, fun, and [it was] incredibly memorable—it was so special and so us,” says sweet Keri, who wore a stunning teal gown by Elizabeth Dye for the occasion. The couple relaxed and enjoyed light snacks, desserts and even a citrus beer sangría by NW Catering Services of Hillsboro.
