Beautiful location, responsive and attentive innkeepers, quiet and clean rooms that are beautifully appointed ... Brookside has it all. We rented the inn for the weekend and our guests loved how peaceful and cozy the inn is. From s'mores by the fire under the stars to a fire in the comfortable great room to homemade breakfasts ... there's nothing we would change for this west coast wedding reception. The lake and creek and hiking trails are fun, as is relaxing in the adirondack chairs on the porch. Jerry and Erika are wonderful hosts and Maria of Fern and Grace was delightful and creative. It was a magical weekend of laughter and love.
The staff at Brookside were friendly, helpful and accommodating. We stayed on site for the weekend, and loved the extra time with our family and close friends. It was an ideal setting for our celebration. The service was far beyond our expectations. We highly recommend Brookside as a venue.
My family held a surprise private event at The Brookside for me to celebrate a major life milestone. I was blown away by the overall experience! The venue itself was perfect in every way such as facilities, atmosphere, scenery, lodging and experience. We had use of the fantastic kitchen and living spaces which accommodated the size of our group very nicely. The suite we stayed in was so pristine and finely appointed with luxurious linens and the space was held a high end feel (even the chocolates were a nice touch). Our guests loved being able to stay overnight at the venue, too, and we all relaxed in front of the fire pit under the stars while toasting gourmet s'mores & enjoying local wines. The warm staff were so personable and attentive - very helpful! The breakfast they prepared by scratch the next morning was delectable! The venue played a huge part in the success of this special event which was also choreographed and executed perfectly by Maria Taylor of Fern & Grace - we can't thank you enough for planning something so relaxing and enjoyable for this event at The Brookside! I couldn't imagine a more wonderful surprise! It'll be a memory I'll treasure forever.
