Elegant, Oregon Spring Garden-Inspired Styled Shoot
In the spirit of continuing last week’s efforts to boost our winter-beleaguered spirits with floral inspiration as a reminder that spring will eventually be here, we’re presenting another lovely spring-inspired, flower-wrought styled shoot. This feature is delightfully light, elegant, and airy. Baby-pink, dusty mauve and various blue shades of florals add punch to a minimalist palette, while the model’s loose, summery dress, bouncy curls and fresh face are the essence of effortless elegance. Slices of rustic bread dotted with edible flowers are the ultimate Pinterest-foodie-dream iteam, and the brightly-colored setting looks like the secret garden. From the photographer, Allison Harp:
"I partnered up with Madison from A Native Bloom this past fall to create an Oregon, spring-inspired shoot. Madison does incredible floral design and styling, and we decided to collaborate on something that would really inspire us as artists and hopefully provide inspiration to brides as well. For this shoot, we wanted to evoke a sense of expectation. Those moments where you know your life is about to change — through the changing of the literal seasons or through the change that comes from moving from singleness into marriage. We decided to keep the decor minimal with one main floral arrangement, candied figs created by Nickol at Foxtail Bake Shop, and an organic spread inspired by our surroundings in the Northwest. The dress is vintage, and the calligraphy was done by Casey at My Fair Letters. We are all based in Bend, OR."
