The 1960s architecture of Palm Springs and the high-wattage signage of Las Vegas served as the inspiration for this whimsical design by Alston Mayger Events. With its black-and-white tiled floor and streaming natural light, Tendue, located in the Ford Building in Downtown Portland, presents the perfect setting for decor filled with yellow, rustic orange, blush, and classic blue, punctuated with bold geometric details and an abundance of gold. The '60s aesthetic shines through in a three-paneled metal cathedral screen bedecked in a diagonal sweep of color-blocked florals, as well as in the vibrant vintage-style invitations, which feature four-pointed stars and mod palm trees. To bring some true romance into the picture, real-life couple Phuong and Brian Stanyer, who eloped nine years ago, stepped in as models. "Easily my favorite moment of this shoot was when Brian first saw Phuong in her dress, " says Ashley Lachney, owner of Alston Mayger Events. "It was a big reveal and so special, they'd never had that moment before."
