Jenna Watanabe and Michael Bungartz wanted to do marriage their way. The couple eloped to San Francisco a week before their wedding, only revealing the news to their guests during the ceremony with a video of their original vows. They also stepped outside the conventional box with their bridal-party fashions, which included beaded dresses, suits and mismatched styles—and a statement pair of red bridal booties.
Forgoing a traditional wedding cake, Jenna and Michael opted for a Delicious Donuts stand and candy bars for something sweet. Adding a personal touch to the décor, the couple used DIY table numbers, centerpieces and signage, which together breathed warmth into Union Pine’s cool urban ambiance. Jenna even took her bouquet design and creation into her own hands, arranging her florals to create a dark, edgy look to match her overall style.
