Bre and Vance's wedding was incredible for numerous reasons: a beautiful venue, a to-die-for design and the prettiest purple-hued color palette. The most astonishing part, however, was the fact that the two were wed beneath the largest known living black walnut tree. The grand tree served as a beautiful backdrop for the couple's vows. Guests were invited to a lovely tented reception space where hanging greenery and rustic charm stole the show. Decadent desserts and dancing were the perfect additions to this fairytale wedding day in Portland!

From Amanda Meg Photography:

"Bre and Vance’s wedding was such a laid back, fun day. The venue was provided by one of Bre’s long time family friends, whom she grew up playing with there as a child. Ironically, Vance worked on a farm growing up a couple properties down! This property on Sauvie’s Island is a famous one, not only for the acres, sand beach right on the river but it homes the largest known living black walnut tree. This tree is massive and so beautiful. We had the honor to take the bridal party photos and bride and groom portraits in front embracing all the huge gorgeous limbs.

Bre had some special remembrances that were a part of her culture and day that made this day just filled with love. The bride's mother's wedding handkerchief was carried in the brides bouquet. This handkerchief was hand embroidered by her Aunt Sadie. Her great grandmother's handkerchief from her dad's family was also a part of the bouquet, embroidered with her name Anna, whom Breanna was named after. A six Pence from Great Britain was placed in the bride's shoe, which was given to her by her stepfather, Ian, who was born and raised in Great Britain. Family and friends joined in the preparations from California, Washington, Utah and Texas. The bride's mother hand painted each of the signs and made all decorations including the arbor made of repurposed wood extension ladders. Most of all, the flowers were picked by family and friends from the local farm fields on Sauvie’s Island the day of the wedding. Each of the bridesmaids and bride all had these flowers in their hair. Brance was used as the memento greeting on the fans, jelly jars placed on the tables and the hashtag used for snap pics. Packets of flower seeds were also guest gifts to “let love grow” and “spread the love.”
