Growing up in Michigan, Rachael Laage dreamed of attending the University of Oregon. As fate would have it, while at the UO, she met the love of her life, Curtis Bineham. Curtis, an Oregon native, proposed a few years after meeting Rachael, and it went without saying that they would get married at the UO. Curtis and Rachael’s wedding was the first one ever held on campus grounds, so they did it up in Oregon style. They kicked off the day with a tour of Autzen Stadium with their guests, followed by a groomsmen’s basketball game at McArthur “Mac” Court and a private bridesmaids’ brunch in Gerlinger Hall.

Inspired by their alma mater and the state’s natural beauty, the couple chose a color scheme that was a fitting tribute to those passions: greens and yellows to represent their beloved University of Oregon Ducks, as well as other bright natural florals to honor Rachael’s love of gardens and flowers. The day before the wedding, Rachael and her bridesmaids even crafted their own bouquets at a floral workshop, using fresh flowers driven from Portland that morning.
