Once slated for demolition, Portland’s historic Eastside Exchange Building is now a sleek industrial-style wedding venue. Located on the eastside near the Burnside Bridge, this warehouse-turned-office building features both an indoor and an outdoor wedding space collectively known as the Exchange Ballroom. Built in 1925, the building mixes its vintage vibe with urban esthetics, including polished cement floors and movable mirror walls. “It’s clean and modern with a neutral palette,” says Kurt Beadell, creative director for VT Group and lead designer for the venue.

Couples can choose from three exclusive caterers, including the popular Vibrant Table for weddings both grand and intimate. What sets this venue apart from others in Portland’s core is the view. And what a view: the Cascade Rooftop offers a 360-degree view of Mt. Hood, the Willamette River and downtown Portland, from its contemporary 2,200 square feet patio built from sustainably harvested wood. Even from inside, guests have views of the skyline and iconic Portland Sign—the a perfect ceremony backdrop.
