“Sparkles, sparkles and more sparkles” was the theme, says Shanna. “I wanted it to be formal but also have an element of glam. I chose deep elegant colors: midnight blue, charcoal, gold and ivory. I felt New Year’s should be as glamorous as possible but also be a big party.”

“I chose to incorporate white calla lilies into my bouquet because one of my bridesmaids told me she thought my dress reminded her of one,” says Shanna. “I had sentimental charms attached to my bouquet with pictures of family members no longer with us made by matron of honor, Amy. One was of my father who passed away, Todd’s grandmother and both of my grandparents.”

“Everyone was on the dance floor dancing and counting down to the New Year with pink champagne in hand with a gold glitter rim,” says Shanna. “Confetti cannons exploded and the crowd went wild! Everyone kissed and hugged one another in joy and cheered. As I looked around the room everyone was laughing and smiling with gold glitter on their nose from the champagne sparkles—it was one of the funniest moments. When in your life do you get to ring in the New Year with everyone in your life that you love? It was epic.”
